After a busy few months featuring at this year’s Coutts London Jewellery Week and making jewellery for the likes of Alexa Chung, jewellery designer Vicky Davies has now launched an exclusive line called Inspire, for accessories boutique Cerise UK
In her first exclusive collection for Cerise UK, Vicky Davies has created both stunning and classic pieces which are inspired from nature. This collection combines the sensuous and organic shapes of leaves with the warmth of gold and a rainbow of tourmaline colours – perfect for wearing either during the daytime or evening.
Vicky said: ‘I woke in the middle of the night with the idea to work with some fantastic tourmalines that I’d come across a few months earlier. Originally it was the tourmalines that caught my eye and reminded me of the colours of spring. The pinks of cherry blossoms and the shapes of budding leaves first came together. My second image was of lotus flowers, with the greens and blues of the stones mirroring the leaves of the flowers and the water.’
The collection later became titled Inspire, as the tourmalines are meant to contain properties which promote an inspirational state of mind. Within the range made in Vicky’s London studio, are two pairs of earrings, a necklace and a bracelet, all made from the finest sterling silver that is well plated in 18ct yellow gold and adorned with semi precious tourmalines.
